  • Self Cleaning
  • Minimal maintenance
  • High efficiency filters
  • Sequentially cleaned

Description of units

These units are self-cleaning using high efficiency cylindrical filter cartridges which are sequentially cleaned by a reverse pulse of compressed air through Mecair reverse pulse solenoid valves which are controlled intermittently via a sequential controller which pulses the compressed air, maintained at 600kpa using a pressure regulator, moisture eliminator with auto drain down through nozzles into the clean air side of the filter cartridges.  Hence the filters are cleaned via the reverse pulse method when the pulse of ± 40 litres of compressed air is released in a few milliseconds to the inside of the filter cartridge.

The complete unit is manufactured from 4mm mild steel, shot blasted & painted as per SANS   specifications – a primer coat, build coat & two top coats to obtain the  required micron thickness of paint.

A magnehelic differential pressure switch gauge & the sequential controller are fitted inside a Nema 2 size steel pad lockable panel, powder coated B26 orange.

All ducting is manufactured as per SANS 1238:2005 Edition 2 specifications using 0.8mm galvanised sheeting joined via the pittsburg lockform method and flanged using mez 121 type flanging.Reverse Pulse Unit-Filvent

The Magnehelic gauge requires no maintenance. It is used to measure the pressure drop across the filters so you can determine when the filters need replacing. The only field adjustment required is occasional zero setting of the pointer which is done by opening the plastic vent valves and turning the adjustment of the gauge.

A Filter regulator is used to achieve a clean room atmosphere.  The  air filter removes impurities like dust and water droplets protecting the pneumatic system from damage. And the regulator maintains and controls the air pressure ensuring smooth running of the pneumatic system. A Filter regulator helps preserve equipment life and maximize system efficiency.

Solenoid Valves are constructed in die-cast aluminium and have an anodised protective treatment which protects them from corrosive and environmental agents.

Backward curved bladed fans designed for higher efficiency in low dust load conditions. Air volumes up to 100m³/sec and static pressures up to 15,5kPa. Operating temperatures up to 600°C. Impetter diameters from 315mm to 2.25m
